Annie Lööf's speech in Almedalen July 6, 2014

Between Täby and Kopparberg in Ljusnarsberg Municipality takes three hours to drive by car. The forest thickens as we move from a prosperous suburb to Stockholm to the red wooden houses in an old mining community. Same Sweden - but not really.

Three hours by car.
Three times more sick days than in Täby.
Three times as high unemployment.
Three times fewer plugs on after high school.
Four times as many who vote for the Sweden Democrats.

We live in a country where we have been doing very well. Where we can afford to help others. Where more and more work. There, school, health and social care never depend on who you are, or what you earn.

But let us never forget that we also live in a country where we still have not managed to give everyone the same chance. Between the small towns, through major cities meanders a deep gorge that makes a difference between people and people. It makes people sick. The breeding xenophobia. It tells young people that they should not think they are somebody, that they should not dream too big.

More are working today than when the Alliance came to power. Exclusion has declined sharply. But that does not mean it is gone. We need to create more jobs - and we need to give more people a chance.

Täby and Ljusnarsberg have different conditions. But there's nothing that says it has to be like this. Places like Kopparberg is far from being calculated, if you do it the right way.

There are two ways to cross a chasm. Add a makeshift plank across the gap - and move on like it never existed, it has long been a social democratic strategy. The second solution is that the groundbreaking groundbreaking reform of the reform, digging back gap and ensure that it will never go there again.

The Centre Party never think to figure out someone. Not a single locality. Not a single person.

And therefore we choose the other road, friends, we intend to give everyone the same chance, we intend to close the gap.

There is a large error in the Swedish job policies - and it has been there long before the Alliance took. Decades of socialism has set itself the stale cigarette smoke in the walls and made to rethinking is conspicuous by its absence.

We are thinking very much about what people should be employed when they are unemployed. Instead of putting our heart and soul into the only issue that makes a real difference, namely: how do we create more real jobs?

Jobs are not raining from the sky. They are created by entrepreneurs who do not remember when they last were available on a Saturday. As three years after the start never turned off the phone, for fear that a mission be missed. Small businesses who toil every day. The jobs created by those who want and can employ.

Therefore, like the Centre Party have fewer steps and more real jobs. We want to lower costs, reduce regulatory hassles and change an inflexible labor market that has closed the door to those who most need to get into.

Together with the Alliance, we have begun the journey. And jobs have become more numerous. But it is not enough.

Especially not for Tommy. He is one of the 30 000 young people neither working, studying or are in any measure. He belongs to the group that has the most difficulty getting their first apartment, a car and a decent start in life as an adult. He is one of those who lagged behind. We do not even know what he's doing. His fate is hidden in the "Other" category. Them we almost know nothing about at all.

Today I will tell you about four promises of Sweden. And here comes the first.

We will not budge an inch damn work for the whole of Sweden will grow in pace and for young people should have the same chance to get a job like any other.

That, my friends, it's a fair fight - and that is a struggle for a generation that will always be worth our commitment.

Even Stefan Löfven looking for jobs. And by chance I came across his letter. Here it is:

Mouse fackpamp looking for a new job.
Like to go to the forefront. If none is received.
Good at being clear. If I do not have to be concrete.
Uncooperative, but hate group work.
Like job. Love contributions.

But that is always the most exciting what is not. It Löfven consistently choose to remain silent about. Namely, that young people should be twice as expensive to employ. And the companies that employ them, hotels, cafes and restaurants, they get double the sales tax. Real jobs to be replaced by grants and ams sites.

He's doing it against their better judgment. He makes it to the leading researchers. He does it to thousands of entrepreneurs who testifies about the consequences. But he does it anyway.

The answer to Löfvéns job application will be September 14th. In a letter, the sender of the Swedish electorate, he will be able to read: Thank you for your interest. The vacancy is filled by another applicant.

I have a chair that I have inherited from my grandfather. In sixty years, he - and then I - have been able to sink into the swipe your hand across the wood in the arm rest and take it easy. I love that chair.

It is useful to think about what you just bought that will last for sixty years. My sofa in the living room will definitely not do it, not most of my clothes either. I sat in that chair when I found a clip on SVT Play.

The election night. Gustav Fridolin celebrate successes and stands with his hands on the head of the dance floor to Ace Wilder's "busy doing nothing at all". The words do not wanna work, work, work ... flow out of the premises. Fridolins enthusiasm can take on.

I will not review the dance style. However I intend to review the ecologist genomic message of an economy without growth.

Friends, here emerge namely the large difference in Swedish environmental policy. And it is time to call their card.

The opposite of wear and tear is not a society that is conserved. Even the hills. It is not that our economy stops growing.

Let me explain why. The economy grows means that more people have jobs and have more money in their pockets. That means more climate-smart solutions and new green products. Sustainable development rather than liquidation.

It means that more people can afford to buy a green car.
It means that more people can afford to shop locally grown or organic.
This means that new environmental technologies are emerging.

Anyone who is against the growth and development turns his back on all this. To say no to growth is to say no to green jobs and businesses. No new innovations that reduce emissions or produce renewable energy.

I would argue that it is one of the most counter-productive decisions the party has taken in decades.

The opposite of throw-away is to do more with less. To do things smarter. As to produce diesel from waste products from the forest. That farmers make biogas from manure. Or the use of sunlight to purify water for the world's poor.

But let me be clear about this; the economy grows, does not mean that emissions fall automatically. In Sweden, the tough and important decisions steered in the right direction. It has meant that we have managed to reduce emissions while the economy grows.

Yet we need to be even better - and more countries need to follow suit. Therefore, three things are required:

World leaders must have the courage.
Swedish politicians must have the ability.
And people must have the commitment.

When the major climate talks begin in Paris next year, world leaders must agree on a binding climate agreement.

In Sweden needs the green tax shift continue. Tax shift thus means that it will be cheaper to do the right things, like working, but expensive to get dirty.

Sweden also needs more train. It's green, it's modern, it joins together Sweden. Therefore, the Alliance now has the largest railway investment ever. Speed trains and new trunk lines built up the country. From north to south. It is a Sweden Dwelling on the right.

The final piece is you. That you care is crucial. Therefore, I will be so happy when more and more grow in town, more installs solar panels on the roof, more people choose healthy, safe and locally produced food, or sorting our garbage.

Therefore, we will prioritize investments that provide both more jobs and a better environment. That makes it easy to do right. A new green bonus for example. And here comes my second election promise to you today.

The Centre Party never think to set jobs against the environment.
The day we do that we have ceased to believe in you and I can make a difference.
The day we have lost the battle for a sustainable society.
And that, my friends, the Centre Party never accept.

Speaking of making a difference. Did you barbecue this summer?

Congratulations. To go into a supermarket is like navigating in a dense jungle. Between milk, snabbmakaronerna and candy conceals major policies that affect you every day.

A common web can contain up to seven different types of pesticides, both in the skin and flesh.

In Denmark lacks pigs twist. The cut off - because pigs are so stressed that they bite of it otherwise.

It is not meant to discourage you from the grill. But it makes sense that we should think about one turn to the grocery store. There you choose makes a difference.

Your choice can create a vibrant rural holiday in the summer. Or an overgrown edge down towards the water, houses that are empty and fewer flowers in the meadows.

The hunting of animals that grow faster have antibiotic use rocketed. In Italy, uses almost 30 times the amount of antibiotics in agriculture here. In the US, animals pill to grow, or to poor animal welfare makes them sick - when we use antibiotics, we become immune to the medicine that can save lives.

WHO calls this one of the three greatest threats to human health. Die every year at least 25 000 people in Europe, as penicillin does not work out.

If we do nothing, such as pneumonia, or interventions cesarean quite suddenly become deadly. Millions of people will die from common infections. For nothing.

There you select the store makes a difference. But it is not enough. Politicians around the world must act. The Centre Party sets tougher requirements on antibiotic use in Europe and better animal welfare. Today we tell about a further step.

The Stern put a price on climate pollution and changing the debate. With the model we want to put a global crisis commission consisting of scientists from around the world. We need to know the consequences. We need to know the true price tag on the use of antibiotics. And we need to act.

It is my third pledge to you today. We will continue our fight for safe and healthy food.

"Tonight is your daughters on their backs because here comes the boys from the building. 2nd place was the worst, it seemed to her too. "

The text lights up black against the white of the sheet in one of the thousands studentflak has trafficked streets in Sweden. I saw it on a picture a few weeks ago, since then it has been like tattooed on my retina.

I'm thinking what's worse actually. Idiotic school students, or hundreds of adults who saw - but did nothing. Indifference says a lot about how far we have to go before Sweden's equal.

I see it in large and small. In my everyday life and in other people. In the judiciary, in politics, at home, in business, on Facebook, in school.

When it is more common to hot Johan and be the CEO of a listed company, other than being female and CEO.

When we live in one of the world's most equal countries, and on average women still do not get paid as much as a man.

When women can say no to umpteen different ways, but the judiciary still only hear a yes.

And when there is a breeze by the way the rest of the world looks like. When genital mutilation, forced marriages and Sharia law still exists. Then it is obvious that equality is not just a need in the agenda, it needs to be present in absolutely everything we do. From the state budget to the kitchen table.

Actually, it's simple. We should have the same opportunities, everyone. We deserve to be seen as who we really are, not as we should be.

Future challenges is about treating each other equally. If values. But also very practical things. As sharing equally at home. Our solution is not more whips or quotas, without a double gender equality bonus and a parental where more than parents can draw days.

Future challenges is that even nurses, nursing assistants and nurses will be able to change employers, raising his salary, and affect their working environment.

If getting a sex crime legislation that takes women no, seriously.

If more women to become managers, or owning and managing companies.

Friends, tomorrow's challenge is both to smash the glass ceiling and raise the floor. And that is my fourth election promise promise to you.

I have given you four promises for a greener, more free and more enterprises and Sweden. For a more locally raised policy. There were four promises to those who intend to vote in the autumn.

I realize that politics often feels both far away and quite abstract. But when you're standing there with the note in his hand on September 14th, so I want you to think about this:

There is a lot at stake.

Sweden has had a couple of tough years. One of the century's worst recession has shaken us profoundly. Although it was a few years ago it was the worst, and although we managed better than many others, so the biggest challenge is still that more people need to get a job.

Ask yourself what creates jobs. Here's how I think: There are no courses at the employment office. It is not the politicians. There are entrepreneurs.

And when others suggest that the tax on companies will be increased by 25 billion, I get really pissed off. Not the Stefan Löfven in person, but what his policy would do against Sweden. Against Tommy barely even mentioned in the statistics. Against hardworking Ljusnarsberg fighting to reverse the trend. And to all who are tired of not getting position.

I hope that you who vote on September 14 make it to the whole of Sweden will grow in pace. For the world's most modern countryside. For jobs and development should be an opportunity and a way to tackle climate change. Not a threat.

I hope you vote for everyone to be treated equally. I hope you vote for the food that is safe and tastes good, both in the heart and stomach.

We promise you a tenaciously, courageously's Centre, which intend to be Sweden's most prominent reform force for the future.

We promise you a locally grown policy, a policy that makes all of Sweden to grow.

Thanks
